The upside is, I don't require a NAS in order to restore any client system data. The downside is I have to pay for multiple licenses of the client application. Restoration requires that I have a copy of the backup data (I maintain three+ versions) and the client application. This approach provides me with all the features of a quality backup compression, dedupe, incremental, block-level backup, etc. Any time, any platform Access files 24/7 from desktop and mobile platforms. My current scenario uses a full-featured backup application on each client system that saves the backup data to my NAS, which is copied to an external drive and the cloud. Synology Drive Transform your Synology NAS into your own private cloud with 100 data ownership at zero additional cost. Is there anything I can do on the ABB side to make backing up the ABB data to B2 more efficient/faster? I'm unclear exactly how ABB stores it's backup files & I'm concerned about trying to upload large files with my limited bandwidth connection. Are there any disadvantages to using the S3 API? I'm assuming CloudSync is not capable of backing up the ABB store.

Having never used Active Backup, I have a few questions: Synology support has pointed me to a Backblaze blog post about backing up ABB with HyperBackup. I'm considering using Synology's Active Backup for Business but I'm unclear about how that app formats its backup and how the ABB storage can be backed up to B2. I then backup the nas backup share to BackBlaze B2 via the CloudSync app. Otherwise, Wasabi remains a viable choice for long-term storage as well, closely followed by BackBlaze B2.I currently backup several LAN systems to a shared folder on my NAS using individual backup apps on each machine. It can be supplemented with the Microsoft LRS Archive tier (some tinkering required) for immutable backup containers. It seems as of today, Wasabi offers the most compatible and cost-effective backup target. When storage needs approach 2 Tb Crashplan Pro again becomes an option, however, performance is a concern.Synology promised B2 support in Hyper Backup in 2018 Backblaze B2 is not supported by Synology’s Hyper Backup.Amazon Glacier and Azure Archive require blob level management and due to thawing/rehydration requirements will likely never be supported in Hyper Backup or similar automatic backup software that said it is a perfect target for one-way sync of encrypted backup containers with immutable objects – such as Duplicacy. This is the costs of cloud storage as of the date of this posting Providerįor the purposes of Backup keep in mind the following intricacies:
